Canvassing for Clean, Crime-free Neighborhoods

KC MIC member mothers of homicide victims, neighborhood quadrant leaders, and block leaders will learn professional canvassing skills while canvassing the neighborhood between May and August. They will distribute trash bag tags; explain why a clean, watchful neighborhood is safer; encourage membership in the neighborhood association; explain the mission and services of KC MIC; explain services of KC NoVA; teach residents how to report suspicious activity and tell what they know; survey of residents' needs and awareness of KC MIC, Town Fork Creek Neighborhood Association, and KC NoVA; gather names of victims' families that might need support; send follow-up postcard.
