Operation Brightside provides services that assist residents with efforts to clean-up their neighborhood.
Neighborhood clean up and block party
(1) Operation Facelift: Neighborhood cleanup which involves coordination with various city departments, Sumner Academy, the KCK Housing Authority, Deffenbaugh and residents. This is an annual event.
Working with neighbors and 20-25 volunteer church youth groups per year we repair and paint local owner-occupied homes for those in need of a hand up.
The Palestine Neighborhood Coordinated Engagement Partnership will bring community members together to create the neighborhood's future, focusing on affordable housing rehabilitation and youth development initiatives.

In order to address neighborhood litter and the perception of crime, the Paseo West Neighborhood Association is coordinating a cleanup event with 100 volunteers to collect trash, cut weeds, and clean graffiti.
