McCoy Park Neighbors is developing a map and data set of assets within our neighborhood boundaries. The information will become a living document to help us shape our vision for the future, plan strategically and identify resources for economic development. McCoy Park neighborhood boundaries are 12th Street to 18th Street, Topping to Fremont.
McCoy Park neighborhood residents along with friends and family are invited to help us clean up the park at 15th Terrace and White Avenue and the surrounding neighborhood from 10:00 am until noon on Saturday, April 23. We'll provide the blue bags. At noon we'll serve hotdogs and refreshments to the participants.
Residents of the McCoy Neighborhood Association took part in a number of cleanup activities across their neighborhood, including a dumpster day, cleanup of a vacant lot, and removal of graffiti - all culminating in a neighborhood party. Meanwhile, a petition drive to have the area recognized under a formal neighborhood association was successful - the Block Club is now McCoy Park Neighborhood Association.
